I believe that the best way to a fit and healthy lifestyle is through a combination of diet and exercise.
We can reduce the number of calories we take on board by making good choices as to what and when we eat, and we can burn off more of those calories through an active lifestyle.
Hi, I’m Caroline.
Californian, wife, mother of 2 wonderful children, and writer-in-chief of Fit, Trim and Thrilled. I have struggled with my weight and body shape at various times in my life, especially after my pregnancies. Too many times I was advised by “experts” to undertake extreme diets or intense workouts, and too many times I listened to this advice, which just caused me to miss my goals and to feel bad about myself.
It was only after years of frustration and heartache that I came to realize how important it is for me to lead a balanced lifestyle.
So here are my main Do’s and Don’ts:
Don’t think that either diet or exercise alone is the perfect way to the perfect you.
Do commit yourself to a sensible diet and a moderate exercise program.
Don’t diet or exercise to the extreme. You won’t be able to stick with it, and it can cause you harm.
Do inject a little variety into what you eat and how you exercise.
Don’t be afraid to change it up – what works for me might not be your best way forward.
Do have some FUN! We want to be slim and fit to enjoy our lives, so always remember to enjoy.
